Since Brooklyn and Eva's birthdays are only 10 days apart Gina and I decided to do a combined birthday party this year. We went with a pajama party theme which made it really easy on us because we didn't have to get the girls up and dressed in the morning. :)
While we were waiting for everyone to get there the girls decided to entertain themselves by turning Gina's couch into a slide. We seriously could have done away with all the games and stuff and they would have been just as happy. :)
Since we did a morning party we started off with a yummy breakfast of french toast sticks, bagels and cream cheese, and fruit.
Then it was time for games. We played our own version of "hot potato" using a pillow since it was a pajama theme. The girls would pass the pillow around and whoever was left holding it when the music stopped would get a prize.
When the game was over the girls were loving the music so much that they just started dancing around.
Then it was time for sack races. Again in keeping with the theme we used sleeping bags for our sacks. The girls liked this game so much that they actually did two rounds of it.
They had to show off their slap bracelets which are apparently just as cool as they were when I was a kid. :)
For our last game we did pin the sticker on the princess. Look how impressive that princess is, Kim drew it free hand in like two minutes.
The girls had to show off all of their prizes.
Then it was time for presents and cup cakes. It turned out to be a good party and all the kids seemed to have a really good time.
