Stonewall Peak...

Yesterday Nick was going to be gone all day with the boy scouts at the scout fair, so I had planned a quiet day of staying around the house for awhile and then going to the grocery store...or so I thought. As it turned out non of the boys showed up to go to the scout fair so Nick came home about 9:00am and thought it would be a really fun activity for the whole family to go hiking so he could check out the route he is going to take the scouts on next week. Now this is not really my idea of fun, but since I love my husband I sucked it up and went anyway. We hiked Stonewall Peek up in Lake Cuyamaca. It was only about 4 miles, but it felt a LOT more than that. We had fun though. The girls were troopers. They got a little tired at the end, but we didn't here much complaining out of them. We borrowed a backpack from one of our friends for Brooklyn to sit in so she happy and content the whole day. With the business of everyday life we don't always get opportunities to spend a family day like this, so it was fun and very much needed.
