We made it thru our first night together without too much drama. Jaxson's blood sugar level is still really low. They are not letting me nurse much because it is taking too much of his energy to eat and he is burning all the calories he is taking in just to nurse. I pump what I can and then they feed him with formula to suplement. The problem is he is so small and tired that he is not interested in eating much. The nurses come in our room and test his blood sugar every 3 hours. His poor little feet are looking very bruised from all the needle pokes. But they have to keep doing it until he can pass three blood sugar tests in a row.
