Vacation Journal... Entry #1

THE DRIVE

We started our drive on Friday afternoon. We drove up to Cedar Creek in Utah where we stopped for the night. We made several stops along the way to let the girls get out and stretch their legs. We have been very blessed with good travelers. On of the stops we made along the way was in Saint George to see the red rocks. The girls had a blast climbing all over the rocks. The next morning we got up early and went to Salt Lake City to meet up with some of our friends for lunch. Me had lunch at the Mayan. That is Nick's favorite restaurant in Salt Lake. He likes to go there every time we pass through. It is a fun place. It looks like you are walking into an Indie movie when you first walk in. They have tree, water falls and huge rocks inside. While you are eating they do shows every half hour. They have divers jumping off the rocks and sliding down the waterfall into a little pool. It is fun place, the girls love it. We left there after lunch to continue our drive up to Pocatello. But before we could finish our trip we had to make a mandatory stop in Ogden at Smith and Edwards so Nick could stock up on some camping supplies. After about three hours there we were able to continue our journey. We got here to Nick's parents house just in time for dinner. The girls were very excited to see their grandparents. So far we are having a good trip.
