Family Night Camp out...

Friday night at the girls school they had a family night camp out on the soccer field. It was a fun way to get together and meet the girls friends and their families. It was just the two older girls and me who went. Nick had to work and Brooklyn went to a friends house for the night. It was a lot of fun getting to spend time with the older girls .

We started the day by setting up our tent and our little camp area.
Then we ate dinner. There aren't any dutch ovens when dads not camping with us. When It's just mommy we hit the KFC drive thru. :)

After dinner the girls couldn't wait to show me all the things they can do on the monkey bars.

Then it was time to hit the tether ball court. This is Kaylee and her friend Bella playing.

Mom's turn!! I used to love this game when I was in school. I'm not ashamed to say I beat the pants off a bunch of 6, 7, and 8 year olds. :)

After a bunch of other sports activities they had set up a big inflatable movie screen where we watched 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid'. We had never seen it before so the girls were pretty excited. Here is Kaylee with her friend Kathleen.

The next morning they had a little breakfast for us of juice, muffins and beagles. Then we packed up and went home.

This was the first year that the girls school did anything like this. It was so relaxed and a fun way to spend time with the kids that I hope they continue to do this every year. It really was a lot of fun.
