Pumpkin Patch...

Today we were invited to go with my friends preschool class on a field trip to Omas Pumpkin Patch. Kaylee and Courtney are still on fall break so they were able to come with us also. It was so fun. We had never been to this pumpkin patch before, and I don't know why because it is so much better than the ones we normally go to. Most of the ones around our house are more like a little carnival with pumpkins in them. They have rides, slides, games, and end up costing a fortune. This one was more like being on a farm. The kids all had a great time. Brooklyn was so tired and worn out by all the fun she had that she fell asleep in the car so I carried her into her bed and she stayed asleep, she was still asleep an hour and a half later when we need to leave for Courtney's orthodontist appointment so I carried her to the car and strapped her back in her car seat and she still stayed asleep. I LOVE days like this, but that's how you know she played so hard she really wore herself out. :)

They had this big hill of cotton seed that they kids could slide down on sleds. This was the big hit of the day.

A pumpkin patch is not complete without a hay maze!

This was something I hadn't see before. They had a wooden cow that was equipped with a set of utters that the kids could "milk", but it was just filled with water. The girls said it was much harder than they thought it would be.

In the petting zoo Brooklyn was more interested in hugging all the animals than she was just petting them.

After a hay ride around the farm so the kids could see all the cows they have there, including a baby calf that was only 36 hours old, the burned off some energy on the playground.

All the kids got to take a little pumpkin home. It took them a few minutes to pick the perfect one but Brooklyn was very proud of hers once she found it.
