Yesterday a cool thing happened
on board Nick's ship, they got a visit from the country music group Gloriana. Gloriana has a top 10 debut single, "Wild At Heart" and won fan-voted 2010
ACM award for "Top New Vocal Group Of The Year" and the "Nationwide On Your Side Award" at the 2009
CMT awards. I will put what Nick said about the concert below the pictures.
The Gloriana concert was pretty cool. It is really cool that bands come out here and do this sort of thing for us.We work so hard and never get time off except for when we pull into port (and that's been like once a month so far). So it's a really cool thing for them to do. They flew out here, put their stuff up in their rooms, went down to the mess decks for pictures and to meet people, had a chance to eat themselves, toured the ship for about an hour or two, then came out and played for us until like 11:00pm, and then stayed for another hour or so to take more pics. They were flown off the next morning at 6:00am and they are heading to another Aircraft Carrier to do the same thing all over again in a day or so. So it's non-stop for them, very busy, so we are really appreciative to them.
