Kamea's 3rd Birthday Party...

Today Brooklyn got to go to her friend Kamea's birthday party. This was the first time that she has gotten to go to a birthday party without her sisters so she felt very grown up as we were walking over to their house. Brooklyn is very lucky because she has a really good group of friends all around her age. My other girls didn't have this many friends when they were her age. It's really fun (and loud) when they all get together. This was the ultimate little girls party. Brooklyn had so much fun that the second her sisters got home from school she had to tell them everything they did.

The first item on the agenda was a little freeze dancing. They all danced around and when the music stopped they had to freeze. Brooklyn always froze with her hands in the air and her mouth open.

Here she is with two of her friends getting ready to make some fun projects.

They started with making their own glitter cheek makeup. Brooklyn LOVES makeup so she was pretty impressed with the idea of making her own. She chose gold glitter for hers. Instead of using her finger to put the makeup on like the rest of the girls did, she thought it would be much faster to use her stick.

The only thing she loves more than makeup is nail polish, so imagine her delight when she found out that they were going to get to paint their own nails.

Six sets of beautiful little girl hands all painted and ready for the next activity.

Next they all got to make little bracelets using beads that spelled out their names. (Brooklyn still hasn't let me take her bracelet off, she even took her nap with it on)

Here is the birthday girl blowing out her candles. They were trick candles and the kids thought it was pretty hilarious that every time she would blow them out they would relight.

At the end of the party as we were all getting ready to leave they dropped a net full of balloons down onto the girls. It could not have been a better ending to the perfect party, they thought it was fantastic play with all those balloons as they fell on their heads.

Look how grown up she looks on our walk home with her new little purse that she got at the party.
