Christmas shopping with the girls...

Here is the story from Jenn about her shopping trip with the girls. They did such a great job picking out stuff for me and I LOVED all of it! It was so sweet. They were even so excited to watch me open their gifts Christmas morning that they put down their own gifts that they were opening to stop and watch me. Here is the story:

The girls very excitedly piled into the car when we told them we were going shopping for you. As soon as they got in they started talking about things you liked. They knew your favorite color was red and that you liked Twilight, but you really liked stuff from Stampin' Up! We just went to Sears (since it was the closest store option). Remember how the girls kept singing "Hot, Hot, Hot" at Sea World...well pretty much they like to sing where ever they are so of course we made a grand entrance. Brooklyn knew she wanted to get you nail polish as soon as we started talking about it. She said she was going to choose pink and purple so she could paint mommy's face :) I kept asking her if she meant mommy's fingernails but she insisted that she needed to paint mommy's face. She chose the actual bottles of polish...so you can only imagine they wont be yours for long. Then we walked to the books. Kaylee was a bit disappointed when she saw they only had series of Twilight books plus one so she "settled" for the book she got you. We were right by the stationary aisle and the girls all started looking at things and would giggle about getting you folders and binders. Kaylee picked up the sticky notes and was convinced you needed to write things down. Then we began to look at clothes. When Kaylee and Courtney saw all the shoes they both said, "Oh, our mom LOVES shoes." So after a quick call to Kim to verify your 6 1/2 size that the girls thought it was, we mainly just looked for boxes that said 6 1/2. Boots were first on the list, then black sparkly shoes. We even had one pair of black heeled shoes in the cart when we fount the perfect white shoes for you (according to Courtney). They looked at multiple red accessories...including gloves and scarves that they knew you could use next time you went to Nick's grandparent's house. Courtney saw the purses and knew that's what she wanted to get you. It was a tough choice because she knew it needed to be red but some were too small and others were too big...some looked like leather and some didn't...she found the one she got you and wouldn't let go. We went to the front of the store to check out and the girls started singing again while banging on the lottery machine buttons (good thing it was already out of order). When we got home, each of the girls helped wrap their two presents. I had to put the nail polish in boxes before Brooklyn came into wrap because I didn't think I would get them wrapped at all otherwise :) Hope it was a fun surprise!
