Luckily when Christmas morning came around I was feeling mostly back to normal. The girls woke up about 7:15 ready to start the day. We went out to the family room to see what Santa had left. The girls were so
ecstatic to see brand new bikes, and a scooter for Brooklyn, waiting in front of the tree. They could wait to go ride them, but first we started with stockings.
The big highlight for Brooklyn was that Santa brought her the chocolate milk she had been hoping for. That is the only thing she asked for for Christmas.
Then it was time to open all their gifts. About ten minutes after we were finished with presents Nick called to wish us a Merry Christmas. It was GREAT way to start off our Christmas morning. The girls couldn't wait to tell him about all the stuff they got. It was so good hearing is voice again.
After everything was opened and we all got dressed, we loaded the bikes up in the truck and headed over to the church parking lot to learn how to ride bikes. Brooklyn couldn't wait to get her gear on so she could taking off on new adventures.
The other two girls were a little nervous. Neither of them knew how to ride a bike without training wheels, so they were both a little nervous about falling. I was surprised how fast it took them to learn. It only took about five minutes before Kaylee was able to ride without any help. Once she got the hang of it she took off and never looked back. She was a pro right away. I tried to help her at first but quickly realized that it is not easy to run in boots so Uncle Cory and Uncle Victor had to take over teaching the girls what to do. They did a great job.

It took Courtney a little longer to get the hang of it, but after about 15-20 minutes she was off on her own too. I am so proud of them and how determined they were to learn how to ride on their own and not give up.
While the girls took a break I had a little fun of my own. :)
Then we had to take a quick family picture with my brother and sister.
Uncle Victor was being silly and Brooklyn LOVED it.
One last race around the church before heading home for lunch.
The day ended with a nice family dinner followed by another phone call from daddy. It was a great day and I am so great for all that has been given to us.
