LegoLand with cousins... 5/13/2011

Nick's younger brother Shawn along with his wife and their two kids were able to come visit us from Australia for three weeks. It was a really fun experience for not only them but for us too because we hadn't got to meet Jane (Shawn's wife) and Leroy and Vanessa (their kids) before. It was also a fun experience for Jane and the kids because they had never been to the US before. Shawn really wanted to show them a few of the things we have to offer in California so we started with a trip to Legoland. Nick had to work that day and the older two girls were still in school so I only had Brooklyn with me which made my life pretty easy. She has so much fun getting to know her cousins. Leroy is only a year older than her so they got along really well.

Here is Uncle Shawn on the pirate ride with Brooklyn and Leroy trying to spray Jane and I with water. (Luckily it was a pretty warm day because they were very successful in their quest, but the water actually felt pretty good since it was hot out)

Brooklyn had mastered this fireman's pole. She eventually got bored going down the regular way so she then started doing tricks like sticking her legs out straight and eventually started just sliding down only using one hand. (She's a little crazy sometimes, haha.) I couldn't get any other pictures of her though because she was too fast and they were all blurry. She was actually climbing up the pole in this picture which is what gave me enough time to snap a quick shot.

We wore Brooklyn and Leroy out by the end of the day so they both fell asleep on the drive home.
