Wild Animal Park with Grandpa... 6/14/2011

Nick's dad had a work conference he was attending in San Diego, he was able to come a few days early and stay at our house with us before he had to head up to the area of town the conference was held at. It was fun getting to spend time with him. Then best part for the girls was getting to spend so much one-on-one time with him which they don't often get. They didn't have to share him with any cousins, aunts and uncles, there was even a few times that they didn't have to share him with us, which they loved. One of the days he was here he watched the girls for us so we could go up to the temple for a wedding. We had given him directions to a local park so off they went for a little park fun.
The best day for them was when they got to go to the Wild Animal Park. The convention he was attending had made arrangements with the animal park to open the park up after hours for them. Nick's dad had asked if he could take the girls with him to the park, so I happily said yes and drove them up to meet him at his hotel before they all boarded the bus to head off to see some animals. The girls had so much fun, they talked about it for over a week afterwards. I'm glad they got that special time to spend with their grandpa.

The giraffes were their favorite part. (I don't know if you can see the baby one in the background, but they talking about how cute it was)

There was some kind of water thing there that they managed to get themselves soaked in. The thing about the animal park is that it is ALWAYS really hot out there so I'm sure they dried pretty quickly.
